Apple to announce a new App Store for Apple TV

On September 9, in one day, Apple is going to reveal new products, as usual, each year. It’s focus on the new iPhone 6s & 6+s but not only.

Apple TV new version is going to come. Next release in October. Bright, revamped with interface based on iOS 9, A8 chip, black remote and 8/16GB storage. The Apple TV may come with a full-fledged App Store of its own.  You can check since June 2015, in the iOS App Developer account that Apple Tv is part of the devices list as iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch & Apple Watch.

If this bears out, the Apple TV could quickly become the one living room set top box that everyone has to have. Users will be able to watch movies, tv channels and use the Apple Tv as they did with their iPhone & iPad devices by selecting games app in their large screens. The acquisition of PrimeSense in 2013, an Israeli-based company whose technology was used in the first version of Microsoft Kinect can bring new functionalities for the Apple TV and reveal a new surprise for this event.
But there maybe more interesting for the Apple TV. Apple is calling it the "Universal Search". According to Buzzfeed: "This feature will enable searches accros multiple streaming video services as well as Apple’s iTunes Store . Instead of searching the catalogs of multiple video services one-at-a-time for a particular movie, you'll now be able to search all — or most of them — at once and then choose the service on which you'd like to watch it. You'll also be able to search for actors and directors, and run other more targeted searches as well — all with Siri."
These new features included in the Apple Tv are very significant: Siri: Research to be driven by voice and the PrimeSense techno: Game to be driven by movement.
I think this is maybe a new success for Apple.

Not only about new functionalities but certainly with the opening of the new App Store. Why? First because Users who have register their credit cards on iTunes are more than 400 millions. Because Users will not register again to connect to the new App Store. They don’t have to register again to access to the Apple Watch App Store and not to the Apple Music service.
One month after unveiling its new streaming music service, Apple has locked in 11 million trial members. It’s more than the half members of his direct concurent (Spotify has 20 million subscribers).
You can check here my article about Apple Music:
https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/apple-music-live-r%C3%A9my-bournoville. Even if 11 million of members are not going to pay at the end of the three months free, it’s already a splash in the music-streaming business.
This is going to be a huge success:
Because Apple has reinvented and reintroduce the game portable time (remember the game boy from nintendo who was there before the iPhone launch in 2007). Angry Birds  is the most downloaded App on the App Store. Apple is going to reinvented games played on TV with casual gamers. It’s not going to face the professional gamers on Xbox and Playstation but it’s going to be a success anyway.
Because of the price $149 (less than Xbox and Playstation compares to functionalities).
Because of the integration of services included like the new Universal Search
Because it’s Apple, a lot of people wants to have it and to test it.
See the Apple Watch appealing. Apple Watch has shipped 4 million units so far, claiming roughly 75% share of the global smartwatch market.

All products designed and produced by Apple are joined by an App Store. There is an App Store for MacBook and iMac. There is an App Store for iPhone, iPad & IPod Touch. There is an App Store for Apple Watch. And there is a new App Store for Apple TV.
If you want to buy the new Apple TV, there is only one thing to do after it (as for the other devices like your iPhone) it’s to connect with your Apple ID to get services and applications.
